Children's Rights

All children, all over the world deserve the same good rights that the children of Nelson Central School have, Some poor children don’t have the same rights as us. They should have healthy food, a strong shelter, clean water and good medical care. Some poor people don’t get that.

We have been learning about the children of Kroo Bay. Kroo Bay is a slum community in Africa. The people of Kroo Bay don’t have a healthy shelter. Their homes have holes in them so mosquitoes get in and cause malaria. When it rains, water gets in the holes.

In Kroo Bay the people cook their food outside on three big stones, some sticks and coal. They eat the pigs from the Crocodile River but since the pigs are eating rubbish from the river, the children that eat the pigs get sick.
Save the Children helps children in countries like Kroo Bay and all around the world. I would` like to buy something plumpy for a month from
Save the Children wish list. Plumpynut is $70 and comes fully prepared so there is no chance of it getting mixed with dirty water.
